WHY TOP GUN?

If you’re looking for a well-organized, well-established and professionally run all star cheerleading program there is no better place than Top Gun All Stars. Top Gun is world renowned not only for its success in competition but for producing the most admired and respectable athletes in the industry. This year Top Gun is celebrating its 14th Season, in SW Florida, and 22nd overall! There are only a handful of programs in our industry that have been around as long, yet none of them can match the number of State, National, Summit, and World Titles along with the life-long values learned by our athletes.

Top Gun was founded on the philosophy that every athlete could always be better. At the same time, we’ve also instilled in our athletes that no one person, regardless of how talented they are, is above the team. After nearly a decade and a half of putting this philosophy to the test, we can honestly say this attitude and approach to coaching is the main reason why we’ve been able to withstand the test of time where many other gyms have faltered. If you had any doubts aboutjoining Top Gun this season, we hope this knowledge has put your mind at ease. Come and join the rapidly growing Top Gun Family of athletes, parents, and fans. Register for evaluations today and guarantee your spot in what is sure to be the best Top Gun season ever!

EVALUATIONS

Cheer clinics and evaluations will be divided by age and tumbling experience. We are confident this will help eliminate some of the intimidation commonly felt by new or inexperienced athletes as well as shortening the overall evaluation process. Your age as of August 31, 2015 determines your “competition age” for the 2015-2016 season. Please use this age for all paperwork, clinics, and evaluations.

The following is a list of the MINIMUM tumbling skills required at each level by today’s competitive standards. Please use this chart to determine your current skill level and appropriate clinic/evaluation dates and times. Each child must be able to perform one of each standing and running tumbling skills listed below to qualify for that level.

Practices will begin with our Mandatory Top Gun Parent/Athlete Orientation Meeting on Sunday, May 17th (Times will depend on the team). An initial payment will be due on that date (payment amount between $100 - $290).

LATE EVALUATIONS

Yes, it is possible to make a team later in the season through a private evaluation. However, spaces on teams may be very limited and we are often only looking for athletes of a specific age or skill level. In addition, tuition costs are calculated annually so anyone starting after the summer will still pay the full annual cost. But even worse is you will have missed all the summer training, team bonding experiences and memories that last a lifetime. So don’t put off being a part of the best all-star cheer program in the WORLD! Register now and get the full TOP GUN EXPERIENCE! If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a private evaluation, please email tgacoach@aol.com.

Frequently Asked Questions About Top Gun All Stars

Q:     How do I register for tryouts?
A:

Arrive at Top Gun All Stars at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled clinic and
fill out the required registration form, or download a registration form and mail it with payment to:

Top Gun All Stars - 1401 Railhead Blvd. Unit A, Naples, Fl 34110

Q: What is the annual cost and how is it paid?
A:

Annual cost runs between $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 and is paid in 10 monthly installments. Our younger/beginner teams run between $1,200 - $1,500. (Several fundraising and sponsorship opportunities are available to offset these costs).

Q: What does the annual cost include?
A:

Everything the cheerleader needs for the year: monthly fees, uniforms, shoes, warm-ups, competition registrations, accessories, etc. (competition travel cost is not included)

Q: How many competitions do you attend; how far do you travel; how much school is missed?
A:

We attend 3 overnight competitions and 4 one-day/local competitions starting in December. Teams will travel to Orlando, Tampa, Daytona Beach, Miami, Atlanta and other possible destinations.

Q: How often do you practice?
A:

All teams practice one weekday (T, W, or TH) for 2 hours, and Sunday for 1 ½ hours. This will allow time during the week for free unlimited tumbling classes.

Q: I am going on vacation during the summer, should I wait until I get back to start?
A:

Our summer schedule is flexible when it comes to attendance. We expect a cheerleader to attend practice if they are in town. Since most of our skill building is done over the summer the more the child attends practice the more they will progress. All Top Gun All Stars Gyms are closed the last 2 weeks of July, so we ask that your vacations be scheduled around these dates if possible. Tuition costs are calculated annually, so anyone starting after the summer will still pay the full tuition.

Q: Cheerleading has become a dangerous sport, so what experience do your coaches have?
A:

The Top Gun All Star staff has been involved with all-star cheerleading for over 20 years. You will not find a more qualified group of coaches in the nation. Our staff is fully certified by the USASF in the latest safety and spotting techniques, and you can be assured that your child is in the best hands possible when it comes to cheerleading and gymnastics instruction.

Q: What cheerleading/gymnastics experience must a person have in order to make a team?
A:

There are no requirements for evaluations; everyone that goes through the evaluation process will make a Top Gun team. Top Gun takes great pride in improving the talent level of each individual within the organization.

Everyone has to start somewhere, so why not start with the best!
